Ross aims to earn an Olympic the first medal of gold, but she's also hoping for even more. At 39, it may be her final chance. But she's still confident of achieving top honours. Also, she won the award in 2000. Orange County Athlete of the Year trophy for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been doing what they do from 2017. The reality is that Ross was an important player in the beach volleyball scene before joining the duo. The American has been a major winner in events twice, with various partners. One of them is an icon in the world of volleyball. From 2007 to 2013 she was in a partnership with Jennifer Kessy, who is currently her coach. Kessy and Ross were strong on the world circuit, winning the 2009 World Championship as a team. This duo went into winning a silver in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the team that could take home the gold. Ross Jennings took over for May-Treanor when she retired. The pair were awarded bronze medals at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. In high school and the several years prior to hitting the sand professionally, Ross played with the Trojans of USC as an NCAA. Her experience at USC was awe-inspiring. When she was a freshman at the school in 2000 she fought her way to Pac-10 and NCAA All-American Freshman of Year accolades. She also was an All-American. Additionally, she was a key player for helping the Trojans to make it to their way to the Final Four. The Trojans suffered a heartbreaking personal loss during her sophomore year and yet she went on to repeat as an All-American. Over the course of her final two seasons, she took the Trojans up to the summit and won consecutive national titles. For her part she established herself as a legend by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the most outstanding female volleyball players at colleges across the United States. Ross studied the study of international relations in USC. Margie Ross never saw her daughter make it to the top of beach volleyball. Ross suffered the loss of her mom to cancer of the breast in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. This meant that Ross remains close to her parent who died. Margie has been an inspiration both in her personal life and at the beaches.
